The training course is an excellent introduction for new entrants to the glass industry and a perfect refresher for more experienced ones. This course contains a global overview of key glass making technologies from raw materials till the glass forming process.

At the end of the training, you will have a clear view of the industrial glass production process, understanding of the current and future challenges, and plenty of ideas to optimize your process. This comprehensive course was developed in cooperation with the National Committee of theDutch glass industry (NCNG).

Trainers
Scott Cooper
Scott holds a PhD in Material Science and Engineering. After graduation, he began as a scientist at O-I, the world’s largest manufacturer of glass containers. His work at O-I focused on novel approaches to melting and manufacturing glass, for which he earned 13 US patents. From May 1st, 2023, Scott Cooper has taken on the role of Technical Director for the USA at CelSian.
Neil Simpson
Neil Simpson graduated in Energy Engineering from Edinburgh Napier University. He developed burners for the glass industry with Laidlaw Drew and BOC, was a glass industry specialist at Eclipse and became an independent consultant in 2014. With over 20 published patent applications, Neil is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Society of Glass Technology. He became a CelSian registered trainer in 2015 and has organized multiple UK-based courses since then.
Price The price per participant is 3.190 EUR. This is the equivalent of 6 tons of glass.


Training costs € 3.190,- per participant. Prices include 5 lunches and 2 dinners for the on-site participants. Prices exclude the living costs of the participants, tax and duties.
