Society of Glass Technology exists for people interested in the production, properties or uses of glasses, whether from a commercial, aesthetic, academic or technical viewpoint. It is a non-profit making organization serving a worldwide membership publishing journals and textbooks, organizing meetings, symposia and conferences on glass related topics, coordinating the activities of special interest groups and technical committees, and providing a communication framework geared to the needs of the glass community.
A partnership with them provides CelSian with deep expertise and access to the latest research in glass materials, fostering innovation in product development and adherence to industry standards. This collaboration not only helps CelSian to be at the forefront of technology and material developments knowledge, but it also strengthens the ability to drive sustainable practices resulting for us in a competitive advantage.
HVG, Hüttentechnische Vereinigung der Deutschen Glasindustrie e.V. and DGG, Deutsche Glastechnische Gesellschaft e.V., were founded in 1920 and 1922. As a joint force we continually develop the knowledge and expertise in the area of glass and glass production, as well as research and optimize all details on this process.
By aligning with HVG-DGG, we can improve our manufacturing efficiency and product quality while also gaining insights into industry best practices and sustainability initiatives. This alliance gives us access to network with industry leaders and professionals, resulting in great opportunities for knowledge exchange and partnership.
The GlassTrend organization is a consortium of worldwide operating industries and institutes working in the field of glass and glass production. GlassTrend is an acronym of Glass Technology Research & New Developments. The association aims to co-ordinate research and development activities to improve the competitive strength of glass industries, its suppliers and customers. GlassTrend aims to identify the needs and requirements for improved and innovative production technologies for the whole glass industry in the broadest sense and to define and coordinate research and development activities that fulfill these requirements.
We are honored to manage GlassTrend alongside the GlassTrend Board. While CelSian remains independent, working alongside GlassTrend allows us to engage with cutting-edge research, innovative technologies, and sustainability initiatives. This collaboration enables us to cooperate with a consortium of leading glass producers, and research institutions, enabling us to drive the future of glass production through cutting-edge research and innovative technologies.
